Just recently picked up a 67 bug out of CDA. Its missing some stuff but overall very solid. It is a runner driver too. just needs reassembled, lowered a little paint and its off driving. I'll post a list of parts I need in the wanted list here soon.

Oh yeah gotta love those fancy chrome wheels! It is really clean with hardly any rust. The drivers front quarter needs to be straightened out a bit but that is really it for body work.

Well I've got the bug looking quite a bit better from when a pulled it home. I'll be throwing some satin white paint on it this weekend.

Did you buy that from a guy who owns a pizza place in CDA?

Yes I did/kinda know him. I traded him a few VW parts including those ugly front rims for a 100 bucks in pizza from his pizza business. I never did see the car. HE just got it last Summer. He was trying to get me to take a trailer over to Spokane and pick it up for him.

Pizza barter, nice! Maybe we should all bring some random parts to trade him for pizza for our next breakfast!

I don't have any pics of the fix to the pan head. Didn't think to take any. It involved a torch, porta power, angle iron and some chunks of steel. Heated the area up and bolted some half inch thick angle iron to the piece of metal between the pan head and bulkhead then placed chunks of steel plate behind the angle iron. Used the porta power against the angle iron to push it out as far as we could. Didn't move too much but enough to work.

Yeah when I picked the bug up he gave the wife and I some free pizza for the road. A pretty decent cheese za.

Well I sprayed semi gloss white on the bug yesterday. Went on pretty good.

An update for my bug. I have it almost done with the trim back on and custom made bumpers from connecting rods. Just need to bleed the brakes, install gas tank, get tires on rims and finish the wiring fix on the head lights. Then its driving time!

That 67 came along way this winter, good job Danno!

Were you able to go for a test drive this weekend?

Wasn't able to drive it this weekend like I hoped to. I did get the tires mounted on the rims and most of the lights working (PO messed with wiring) only a few things to do hopefully and I will be test driving it!

When you do take some pictures, curious how those 3" drop plates look on there.
