So, nobody is talking about the event? I had fun drag racing my car. Sold some stuff. Seemed like a pretty good turnout. |

I heard a lot of people complaining regarding the lack of organization. No one really had any idea what was going on. Just a lot of disgruntled people. However with that being said, I had a nice time and it was a lot of fun for me. I think this year is a great learning experience and I hope Hook takes what ever feedback is given and works to better the show next year. |

So wanted to go but was caught up with obligations. I will not miss it next year and for a rebirthing of the event it is ok to learn from the first one.
I hope people aren't discouraged and will come back next year.
I was hoping to find some chatter about it as well. |

I am still recovering from pre show and post show parties that went into the early mornings The show was fun for me, not everyday you can sell some parts, and watch a mid '70s Westfalia drag race!
Sure we can look at things and give an opinion or two, and I guess my two would be not getting out of the vehicle to pay to enter the show, and maybe more than one person dealing with that line. Also, the swap meet in the dirt, not sure who had that idea....I think swap meet should have been in the grass behind the show cars, let spectator parking be in the dirt.
Again, not complaining, just what I would do differently.
Thanks to those that put the show together, good time. |

Having never been to any sort of car show, I thought it was fun. I did think the part about getting out of my car to pay was weird.
I enjoyed meeting people, seeing some pretty cool bugs, some races ... And it was VERY cool seeing that bus "tear it up" on the track.
Looking forward to next year.

I had a good time, but agree that if the learning curve improves some things for next year that would be nice. Considering the tune on my car, I was happy with the performance, but look forward to pushing it harder next time. Here is my race report...

Agreed, it was great having another show in town!
But the ideas already listed above would make the show better, the dust bowl swapping was no fun. |

I didn't make the show due to a death in the family. Hopefully I can make it next year. Sounds like it was a fun show. |

So the club sponsored engine blow made $105 for Second Harvest, and then the club also donated an additional $125 as well. Thanks to all that bought a guess. _________________ TROY
