Super Beetle Airbox Question
I have a 78 Super Beetle Convert (natch), and I am trying to remove
the cover from the airbox.
It is accessed from the trunk, and contains the wiper mechanism and
squirter pluming.
I have removed the 5 screws, and the cover will not budge. It seems to
have some adhesive keeping the access panel
attached to the box. it seems to be never opened.
Any suggestions, Is there a trick to popping the access panel off
without destroying it?
Any hints would be appreciated.

Try heating it up along the edges with a heat gun or even a HD hair dryer before you pry on it, the heat will relax the glue _________________ TROY

Thanks Troy,
Good Idea! From experience, is there a better place to pry?
Everything seems to have a rolled lip.
