Last posts I read it was running too hot, and his oil samples came back bad. But its fun to drive around town.

i never found or read what caused it to run so hot. was it the heads or the cr?

after reading it more throughly I think this motor would do fine in a standard bug with stock tranny.

Looks to me like it would be a good engine for a car base above the Arctic Circle.
