I think most buses probably played that role at some point or another, especially campers. At least on a amateur, freelance level.
I would say its not likely a Riv, but I think you already knew that. Rare to see a Riv made before 65. Looks Sundial-ish to me, but pics of the interior (or what's left of it) would help make that conclusion. Compare it with the one in Eric's shop right now. It' pretty complete.

This '60 old Dealer truck is coming back to the area in a couple weeks. I believe this was Valley Volkswagens delivery truck.

Saw you rollin' down Trent this afternoon . Rollin' tall, that is.
Good thing you've got that KPBX sticker on the windshield. It'll ward off those gun-totin' North Idaho types.

Hope it works well with the 10" Ted Nugent stickers that will be adorning the bus soon!

That's the first thing I was thinking....you need some 30x 9.50 x15 BFG mud terrains on that sucka' Kaleb!! There isn't a campsite in the Northwest that bus can't reach!!!

Actually my tires are on order from a horder in Sandpoint (not actually a horder, but it rhymed).
Actually the reason I wanted to ever get this bus is because of a set of rims and tires that Mr. Corey owns, that and a night of drinking in a hotel room and knowing that Mr. Urk had a beauty for sale.
