Not to take any wind out of your sails...but reading that just make me laugh a little, cause to me, a 1987 anything is still pretty new. Laughing

looks like a good platform to start with. you should swap a VR6 under the hood and get some serious acceleration outta that little guy. a car like that with a tuned VR is a beast man Shocked what do you plan for it?
