Hi Everyone! I have a '70 bay window. What exactly do I need for seatbelts to be legal in the state of Washington? Thanks. |

Lap belts will be legal, but three point belts are better. If you can find the fronts from a Vanagon, you can install them (with some custom brackets) and have nice retracting shoulder belts. That's the plan with my 70. |

I believe the cutoff is August of 67. It's a federal law. If your car was built after that, it needs seat belts. Not sure if/when there is a differentiation between lap belts and shoulder belts. |
