We showed up unfashionably late, but we got to see Eric and Caleb, and enjoyed a roasted weenie and marshmallows with Scaper. Met a new (to me) VW guy named Chris who lives in Spirit Lake. Spied a very clean Soobaroo BRAT, and checked out a very nice mid 50's International pickup on Keystone Classics, and oozing with patina.
Twas rainy and cold, but I hope to be there next year, and on time. |

It was a pretty cool little festival, and free food from the Scaper was not only good to eat but entertaining to watch him pedal his hot dogs, "hey you! Come get a wiener!"
Two things l learned from the festival:
Bring a lot more money nest year so I can afford the NOS Hop Along Cassidy shirt at the antique store
And to pass on the idea that a $6 bottle of vodka is a Great Deal! |

| Spirit Lake Festival is this Saturday again. Any VW's want to head out there? I will probably head out about Noon or 1pm in my Single Cab with bikes in the back. |
