They are out there, just not in alot of our garages.
You know the saying "different volks for different folks".
I had two once, but didnt really end up doing anything with them as Im more of a bus/bug kinda guy, but will always appreciate seeing a dumped ghia!
If you have one post up a picture of it, would be nice to see some new rides on this site. |

Ghias, though cool in there own way, can only carry two people to a hotel when traveling. Buses, can carry many people, and can camp wherever there is level-ish ground.
Buses are enjoying a certain cool-ness level these days, too. It may pass, but most of us will still be driving them. |

I wish my bus was a cool item to have when I sold it in 91'. 67' Westy that I sold for 2k...I'd kill to get that back! Back to Ghias...they are out there, might be a good time to snatch one up if you're interested in getting one!! Seems like the Lowlights don't come up for sale too often anymore, but there for awhile, seemed like there was always one on craigslist. Are you interested in getting one?

We have a '56 Ghia (pictured), I know of two other '56's in town, plus a lead on a '56 in a garage. I sold a '60 to someone North of town years ago. I have some '56-'59 parts for sale.

I own a 66 ghia just fixed alot of rust and repainted it to the original henna red but added a lotus white top. It was my mother-in-laws car since 1979 and a few summers ago she needed her house painted (a huge Victorian). So I traded my labor for the car. Three months later, she was mine. I instantly set to work on it and I'm just finishing things up for alot of driving in the summer. |

Pics or it didn't happen!
Nah, just teasing you (but seriously post some pics!)
Sounds like a cool ride, and with all the upcoming events planned for this spring/summer should be a great year to drive it around. |

I know of a yellow one that seems in descent shape in Peaceful Valley. Looks like about a 1970. I never see it moved so it could be for sale. |
