Just started building my rotisserie. Thought I might throw a couple pics on here and see what you think.
Built out of mostly 2.5"x2.5" square tube 3/16" thick
Here is what I got done today.

| My buddy who has one used spindles and brake drums for the rotation point, then he built a lever that would work the parking brake. my concern with your application is: If you bolt it to the bumper points on your bus, it won't be anywhere near the polar moment. I guess you could make an "adapter". |

It is going to be completely adjustable and I am going to use hydraulic jacks to raise and lower the "hangers". I am going to mount to the beam mounting points. There won't be any issues in getting it completely balanced.
I still have a lot of work to do on it. |

| Thanks vwrus66. I dont have a lot of metal work to do on the bus, but is will sure be nice when cleaning it up and painting the bottom. It will also be nice on future projects! |

Couple pics. Still a little more work. Gussets, Jacks, casters and arms left.

Got a couple minutes today and built the caster plates and installed the casters.
6" casters, 2" wide. 1000 LBS Load capacity each. Greasable caster and wheel axle.

Finished installing the wheels on both ends.
Now just have to make some gussets and arms.

With the wifey's home improvement projects, my garage time is at a premium. Got some work done on the rotisserie, though!! Almost done, just a couple little things. Hopefully get the bus up soon.

Damn Duke! That thing is really coming together!! Are you working off a blueprint, or just fabbing it as you go? I noticed the carpenter chop saw in the background with an abrasive cut-off wheel on it. How good is that working for you?? I'd like to try that instead of buying yet ANOTHER tool!
Definately put me down for the first in line for Rotissere Rental!!!  Looks great!!

Scott,
I have some plans, but "modified" them a bit. I kept the adjustability for use on other types of cars.
The chop saw works pretty good. Sometimes when cutting large, thick steel it can veer off a bit.
Dropped the front beam today and test fit the front!  Everything matched up as planned.

| Thanks guys. Had a chance yesterday to do a bit of work. Pulled the engine, trans., and fuel tank. Installed the rear rotisserie arms. They attach to the rear torsion housing. I also fabbed up a bracket to connect to the trans. cradle for added support. |
