I bought this trike and am rebuilding/restoring it. Can't wait to get on the road. Was covered with 3 or 4 gallons of house paint, under some bushes. I been doing a lot of sanding. Rode it round the block and it took my breath away. Glad it has wheelie bars. Hope nobody is mad, I didn't chop up a bug.

Have finished primary paint, went with sunshine yellow. Will be winter project working on graphics before final clear coat and buff. Am looking at some vinyl for the seats that's Carbon fiber black and Carbon fiber yellow for reupholster, have ordered samples and will see what it looks like.
I also made a center console and small dash system from fiberglass.
Also made some wheelie casters on the original springs, should help keep her under 45 degrees.

Sorry I lost any Pictures I had over the years of most of my cars. I sold my 21 window Micro bus to a friend and his wife in 1980 and they had a wreck in 1982 with it and totaled it. They hit the rear fender of a car going through Monroe street and rolled it twice. I was sick, but at least they both didn't get hurt. Darla lit on the roll back canvass and it tor off when rolling, he lit on the door as it went over and tor it off. I loved that buss, had allot of memories in that thing. Terry later bought my 62 Baha and had it for years. The 62 Baha was my first VW. I will try to look up Terry and see if he has any, that would be cool if he does and I'll post em if he does. This was kinda what it looked like minus the rust.
Wow imagine what it would be worth today, although I cut the rear fenders out and put adapters on and 50 series chevy wheels and tires on it. kinda made worth less I spos.

Nice job on the trike, looks like it has been saved. Some brown 70s graphics would look cool. |
