So, we got back from Bonneville this morning. We beat the old record of 83.1 with a 83.9! Bad news is, the same guy that held the record before, Tom Bruch, then ran 103. something. We brought a knife to a gunfight, it turns out. His new motor has Porsche rods, stroker crank, flow benched heads, etc. Still, it was pretty cool that we beat his old speed, and the car is still running. We saw a lot of cool stuff, being on the salt is unlike anything else. I will bring some photos and stuff to the next meeting. Thanks to everybody who helped us do this.

The 36 hp challenge was a one time deal, I may go back to Bonneville again, but if I do it will be some kind of record attempt, or at least some major speed like 150 or more. Look up 36 hp challenge and you will find some more pics.
