Fine, since I had sooooo many offers I started digging into it.
On order:
ACE Copperhead Clutch Disc
Kennedy Stage 1 (yes, another, mine is burned)
Oil Thermostat
New O rings for my pushrod tubes
To do,
depending on how bad the flywheel is, may get to have fun getting it off to get resurfaced. (This is when Wedge mating SUCKS) |

How do you remove your wedgemated flywheel?
I have two different homemade tools that I can use one or the other to make it a lot easier. Let me know if you need to borrow one.

Sweet, I just hit it around the edges with a leather mallet, the harmonics "usually" get it to pop off. But that was when it was new and not run yet.
I'd be interested in something more proper though. |

The two tools that I made are as follows...
I took a gland nut and welded up the center so that it has a flat surface. A person could thread it in by hand leaving just a few threads back from tight. The second homemade tool is an old flywheel. I drilled out the six threaded holes so that it can be bolted up to the flywheel on the engine with six long bolts. In the center of the tool (flywheel) I welded a nut (I think larger than 1" threads.) and I have a large bolt that threads into the middle. All you have to do next is turn in the center bolt and it should pop off the flywheel. If not, simply wack on the center bolt with a hammer and it will pop loose.
What is your schedule like? I could bring them up to the college and let you pick them up from me there.
