Adjustible beam or dropped spindles for my 68 bus?
not looking to slam it. just drop a few inches.
any suggestions? |

| Seems like adjustable would be nice, you could go from your lowered state to normal height if you needed it. Only seen dropped spindles in one place for buses, they were expensive. |

Actually the Beam is more expensive. this place in Salem Oregon has both. Decisions, decisions....

You can spend all that money if you want. The drop spindles are nice, I had a set by Nate, 2 1/2" and worth the money. If you want an adjustable beam, I can do that for you. I am building one for a '71 now, he bought the adjusters from Nate ($99 shipped), and I am installing them in his beam for $75.
With adjusters, you get about a 4" lower before tire change, anything over that, and the ball joints get tension. |

Drop spindles will be a better ride for sure! I build drop spindles for '67 and older buses with king/link pin suspension, but '68 and later ball joint is a different story, go with Nate. |

The beef cakes are nice adjusters, they can be hard to fine tune though, I think each tooth is 1/2" or so. I have a set here if you want to check them out.
