I mentioned the show back in July but my post was mostly for Type 3s. They expect 20 or more Type 3s with a goal of 30! The cash trophy's will be in beer steins. See you there.

Got the day off to watch my son race(cross country) in the morning in the tri cities, so after that I will be checking out the show. Now the real question is; are either of my VW's up to the task of driving down, or do I just go in the comfort of my pick up and have hauling capabilities? |

First off, YOU HAVE TO DRIVE THE TARD BOX!!! Hell, I'll throw a number on mine, then we can have all of us Spokane Spastics invading the show!
As far as leaving Im down with heading out Friday late afternoon/evening. It says self contained camping available, which I think we are? I would plan on coming back Saturday night, or Sunday morning if we are able to find some fun. Ive invited a few, but I will try a few more.
Let me know what your thoughts are. |

I wish I had our bus was ready to go, I would leave on Friday with you guys, still contemplating driving the bug. Gonna have the carbs dialed in tomorrow. |

Nah, the carbs are good now that I got all the parts that were missing on one of them and got the linkage setup. Just need to sync them. I might roll the bug, just wouldn't have the room to haul stuff if I get crazy buying stuff. |

Thinking Friday at 3-4pm or so? I will be coming back Saturday afternoon, as I have other things going on. I drove the TardBox yesterday, working on wiring now as nothing works. I will test drive the bus next Thursday and see if it is a go....
I have a back up bus, we can stack empties on the safari's if needed.
I have some parts to swap.... |

I was thinking of going hwy. 195 to Colfax, then to Waitsburg and over to Richland. Keeping off the Interstate...
Any thoughts? |

Sounds good Eric. I can't leave sandpit until @1 o'clock. I can sleep under the tardbox. Is that self contained? |

Smithe, as long as you dont get tooooooooOOOOOOO crazy on buying stuff there will be enought busses to help you get your stash back home.
I like the sound of leaving at 3-4, there is the pre-show meet at the Rosy Diner that starts at like 6, which is right down the road from where the show and where we can camp. I will be swapping too, if you send in the swap meet fee its only $15 instead of $20 the day of.
I like the staying off the Interstate idea. If we shoot south on 195 to Colfax, then head West on 26, just outside of Washtucna is the Palouse Falls (pretty cool waterfall/pitstop), then southwest through Tompkins/Eureka and into the Tri-Cities.
Ahh, so you know the Drunk Bottle Safari Shuffle game? |
