Thinking of taking Hilde up to the strip on Friday evening to see if I can break into the 12's.
Anyone else game for some VW drags? |

Hey,
Good luck on getting your 12 second run.
I wish I was going as I still haven't got my bug out yet!
However, I am hoping that on the 26th of next month that I will. That is if I can find a bit more time and a couple more dead presidents to finish a couple things. _________________ Jeff Rogers

Should be a good night, good weather.
Looks like nobody is up to even support the aircooled crowd (the only one probably). |

Last time I went out, I had too much "mt. dew" and started letting everyone drag my pickup......
Plus, I ain't got anything running yet.....nobody to help me put any of it together and it's tough working on it alone.....get's lonely. |

Well, didn't get done what I wanted to do, only was able to get 4 runs in.
Went to a 205-70 rear tire and couldn't get any traction, my last run, went down to 14psi, pulled the front shocks, raised the front end and pulled the fan belt.
Was only able to do a 13.2 @100
She has a 12 second run in her, the problem is traction, and when I was finally able to get some on the last run, my always "questionable" clutch answered with "I can't do it". |

i'm always up for it, depending on the days and times. mostly just the support factor though. unfortunately i didn't get to the post until i had a commitment already. i would love to come support whilst buster and i sit on the side lines. was hoping to be able to get into more bug "playdates" and mischief before summer was up. seems everyone is pushing hard to get the bucks and the hours to work on them instead of playing with them.... join the club huh? |

No worries.
I think I may be pulling the body off the pan in a few weeks, Hilde may be off the street for a few years. |

Just keep an eye on www.spokanecountyraceway.com
BTW, the new timing system is more accurate, I think up till last year, all times were a bit on the optimistic side. |

I have some friends that are SERIOUS drag racers...the old track was short...by ALOT of feet. Hence the lower times for everybody.

The old track was factored for altitude and was exactly 3 tenths off. _________________ Mr. B
