The annual SCC Spring Fling Car Show is coming up.
It's being held on Wednesday, May 13th.
There were not anywhere near enough Volkswagens there last year. So, I thought it would be awesome to represent the RCVW Club there. *Shrugs*
If not, it would be great to at least have a few individuals enter.
I have entry forms or you can pick them up at SCC. I'm going to work on getting them into a few parts places, too. The fee's $10.
Even if you don't enter, you should still show up. There will be food, a band, and some fun stuff for the little ones to do, too.
Oh...and every year we blow up a car. |

Blow up a car?
They don't pull numbers from a hat for entrants rides, do they?

LOL.
Fortunately, they don't. The sacrificial lamb is usually donated by someone who is sick of looking at the pile sitting in their yard.
We drain all of the fluids out of the car, put it on stands, and run it until it blows. It's actually a pretty cool demonstration of the importance of those lovely fluids most people ignore. It's purely for education, I assure you. It's not our fault that some people find a sick joy in watching something, such as an Escort, being forced to grenade itself. |

I would love to enter one of my cars. They just aren't ready to show yet! I'm in the middle of painting one and the other is on hold until later this year when I'm done getting the 69' on the road. I'll go to some shows for sure once I get a car in that "shape". _________________ 69' Beetle CA Look 1500SP

Right on.
Anyone who needs an entry form can get them from me, the SCC Automotive Department, or the Schucks in Veradale. |

Ok....
So a few people have mentioned wanting to be in the car show.
It's in 2 weeks and I need applications & entry fees.
So, who needs an app? I'm not terribly busy the next few days and can deliver/pick up stuff, if need be.
Give me a call if you want to be in the show & let me know how you want to do this.

I forgot all about it! I want too, it will depend on if I can get my bus up to Athol tomorrow or this weekend for some welding and back in time. Are you going to come to the shop night tomorrow? |

I think I may have to work. I'll double-check.
If I do, I'll drop some apps by Steve's house and you can get them from him.
I also need two pictures of the car(s) you're entering. You can email them to me or include them in the application.

Well, I just got a bunch of parts in today, and I am dropping off my bus to have the rockers welded and hopefully a few other things, I doubt I will have it back in time for the show at all. Still, I know some others were interested, so the shop night tomorrow is probably a good place to have some apps.
Thanks,
Erik |

Wow, this is getting closer than I realized! I better get somekind of a better tune on my race bug so that I can throw it out there and maybe make some noise once in a while! _________________ Jeff Rogers
