I need someones advice.........On a daily basis, I am finding drops of fluid underneath my motor. It is more of a oil/gas mixture. Where is it coming from? What is it? And what are some of the possible causes????? And lastly, what can I do to stop the leak????

OK, seriously, if you think it is gas or part gas, DO NOT DRIVE IT!
1) the obvious fire hazard, 2) if the carb has been leaking into the engine to the point it has contaminated the oil, it will destroy the bearings.
Check the oil on the dipstick, if it's higher than it should be or it smells like fuel, you need to change the oil immediately.
Sometimes the float valve will let fuel run into the engine when it not running. Particularly if the front of the car is higher than the back. As to where it's leaking, just look for it. If your engine is so greasy that it looks oily everywhere, we're onto a different subject. |

| Underneath the engine is completely gummed up with grease oil. What does that mean? |

You have a grease,oil leak from somewhere.
Possibilities:
Main seal
pushrod tube(s)
case
oil cooler
oil strainer plate
Transmision
pulley blow by excessive
Oil sender
Fuel pump
Gen stand
oil filler
Jugs
Valve covers
Oil Pump
Oh, definitely listen to what Onebadbug says. If you have gas leaking, you will eventually have a VERY bad day, if you have gas in your oil, that's another story as well. |

I don't mean to be a wiseass, but I didn't respond at first because asking why a bug leaks oil is like asking where a bear poops. There's too many possibilities. Maybe run over to Custom VW and ask him. I'm still not guite sure you're serious. |

I read it when it first hit, I didn't respond for the same reason.... 
Besides the fact I thought it would take me an hour to type all the possibilities....

That's why I also didn't make a real list.
The list of why they don't leak is shorter!
The only bug that doesn't leak.... has no oil in it!

Thats so funny all mine leak as well. I think they will not leak when you replace all the engine gaskets. I know that worked with my old Volvos.
WAIT!! I don't think there are any engine gaskets with an aircooled. Do the heads have engine head gaskets??
