I ve been told a couple of ways to get heat to my carb so it doesnt ice up on me and i just want to some ideas to see if they would work and if u have anyother way of doing it let me know thanks.
Take a hose from the heater tubes and hook it up to ur vac on the carb.
Make something to point the exhaust to my carb.
Cut a hole in my air cleaner and run a hose to the exhaust.
Make a tunnel cover for the rear of my bug.
well give me some suggestions on things ok thanks zac _________________ Foot on the pedal slaming thru gears |

I had the same issue last winter till I saw what neil did to his baja. we both have the 5inch air cleaner. what he did is make a metal wrap around the filter element and make a slip fitting for the appropriate hose that comes off the stock carb heater and I didn't have any more issues after that. no more ice for me. I can't remember the title of the thread but if you ask neil i'm sure he still has a pic of what it looks like. i'd upload a pic for you but i'm in iraq right now and won't be back till next fall. good luck tell me how yours is running this winter. _________________ hakunamatata |

Would a stock oil bath fit? Might be easier than fabricating something. |
