All right I have been insearch of Swing tranny to lower my 61 bus. Then the Idea of going IRS was put into my head (Thanks Troy). What are your different oppinions on this.

Irs is good I have it my bus great for going real low. Pretty easy to install with the bolt in brackets you can get from wagenswest, busboys, and a few other places. |

So what trans should I be looking at? Will any IRS from 70s or superbeetles work.

You could use either the early bug irs trans had a 4.12 gearing later ones have 3.88 gearing. |

Best news I have had all day. Now it is just a matter of getting the other pieces and start pulling the bus apart, shame too because the bus is so fun to drive right now.

I hope so I have enjoyed lowered bugs, so now that I have a bus I think its the way to go.
