I had a 70 bug in highschool that I've always had very fond memories of... so this last spring I found myself a 71 Bug to get myself to work and back in. I've had to spend some time working the kinks out, but it's turning out to be a sweet daily driver! I just thought I'd share some pictures....
Got some seats installed I purchased from a guy here on the forum
Installing some new carpet. Had to grind down and refinish the floors. Used POR-15 paint - great stuff. Also had to do a cut and weld repair of the left side heater channel too. Turned out pretty well though.
Getting the rear area ready for carpet...
Anyway, there you have it. |

She's a beauty!
Nice job on the interior, had been eye-balling those seats myself, they were a good
deal. The white ones I have just don't quite get it... _________________

Thanks everyone, it's been a lot of fun driving a bug again. It's interesting how many people just come up to you wanting to ask about the car. 'Ya, I had a 19xx bug back in 19xx......'
Plus, my kids LOVE riding in it.
Thanks,
Rob |
