|
|
I knowingly purchased a rolling 69 with a bad transmission and no engine cheap. The body is in great shape except for the passenger front pan but I got a new one in the deal.
The trannys from the two 65s I was given will not fit in this bug. One of the 65s has an engine that will run with some work. I am now thiinking I will combine these two to make one and find an engine and tranny for the 69.
So I am now in need of a good engine and tranny for the 69. Any body got a good one or the other or a good source?
Thanks!

The 65 engine could be used in the 69. Not ideal, but it would work with some tricks. The shipping for a trans is quite a bit, so you still need to look locally for that. Got a local VW shop?

I'm not so "trickie" I guess. We do have a local shop Auto Haus in Kalispell. Guess I'll start there.
