A nice '66 narrow-eye Baja in Omak, great shape, NO signifigant rust anywhere I can see. I drove it over Sherman Pass and to Seattle last summer, it is a delightful little cruiser. needs a little work to make it a premium little thing, but very solid as is. HAS---1300 cc engine, possibly original, it is still 6 Volt. New tires, clutch disc, rings, and driver door roll-up mechanism in July 2011 probably 800 miles since then. NEEDS----minor carbouration work, The right rear brake has developed a scratchy sound, ( I quit driving it immediately), front tire is wearing, indicating alignment attention is required. I have had trouble postin pictures on this site but have lots of them if you like, also a video on You Tube showing me driving it. With a little carb work you could drive it home to Spokane, but a bit chilly, I am not sure of the heater, I have never driven it in winter very much. A tow bar or trailer would be a smart idea. Call me any time, (509) 429-7819. Asking $1500.00 _________________ I'm working on my first Baja Bug--may need lots of hand-holding. Can't figure how to post photos here, but see my album "The Volkswagen King of Omak" on Facebook----Search for: Mark Newman Omak |
