Any recomendations on where I can store my VW and Jeep when I bring them up in December? We are movin up in Jan and hope to have a place by Feb. |

Because of the weather we get....if you wait till you get here in Dec, most Storage places will be chock full by then. I got out of the AF 4 years ago, but MWR runs an open storage yard at Fairchild for a small fee (compared to a regular storage place). Ask your Sponsor if he/she can get you in contact with them....maybe they can reserve you a spot now with your orders? There were always ALOT of boats and RV's in that yard...but maybe you could get a small space until you get a place.

Thanks, I tried to call the outdoor rec today to ask about the storage yard but nobody answered. |

They used to be open Saturdays...I remember the yard filling up, they let civilians and retired use the yard too....which kind of sucks, cause I had a civilian boss that had 2 or 3 boats, and an RV in there. Some guys used to put a vehicle on the Lemon Lot for sale (it was cheap)....but had absolutely no intention of selling it. They just left it there, and continued to pay each month like storage too! If it's just short-term for you, maybe that would work? Wish I could help you more....
