Anyone out there know if the valve clearance should be set at .006" on a 2010cc engine or should it be something else? _________________ 71 Karmann Ghia |

Do you mean 2110 ? If this is a type 1 based engine and has aluminum pushrods still .006 is fine . Know if you have steel (chromoly) pushrods .006 is too loose , most guys run them at a loose zero . TROY |

The gentleman I bought the car from a few years back said it was a 2010cc, but 2110 sounds more like the sizes I've seen around. I'm really not sure to be honest. I have aluminum pushrods so I set them at .006 tonight. When I started the car I am now having problems where it doesn't want to idle. It dies as soon as you let your foot off the gas. Any ideas? _________________ 71 Karmann Ghia |

Start with the basics , point gap & timing . Has it been sitting for a while ? Was it running fine and all a sudden started acting up ?(plugged fuel filter) Dual carbs ? (out of sync , plugged idle jet ). TROY |

It is definatly a good try but i mean come on, it strikes me as being rather a bit sloppy and unprofessional, perhaps a few more hours working at it might help. |
