Since I drive one of the most recognizable vehicles in the free world, I can guarantee that I'd NEVER pay that kind of coin for a license plate to establish the fact that I'm in a "BUG" that people can plainly see from miles away!  Good luck in your sales though. Might wanna try the Seattle area, where people make that kind of cash to waste.

There are folks with the coin - Seattle and elsewhere.
A guy I know was offered a thousand dollars for the personalized plates on his Dodge Challenger.
