I was toying with the idea of converting my hard top to a rag top. Any thoughts? |

Are you going with a clip or an aftermarket top?
Aftermarket tops don't seal good and are prone to leaks. _________________ '62 Turbo Drag Bug

I was thinking about a clip, but I also saw a few after markets I liked. It's just one of those projects I think alot about. Once I cut that hole there is no going back. |

What year is your car? I am assuming beetle. If the car is post 64 it will not be "correct" for U.S. Delux models. A 64 could fake it out ok. 65 and up I have always thought looked goofy..it is, however, your car.
I have seen a few people do very minimal cutting and graft just the rail area in. Like others have said; see if you can find an og mech. They work better. |
