drop spindles

I am interested in dropping my 66' bug a few inches as part of my restoration project. What am I looking at for cost and does anyone have any that they are looking at getting rid of? Also, how difficult are they to install?

Sorry I do not have drop spindles for sale right now, but I can answer some of your questions.
Your 66 is ball joint, so that is easy. Instillation is quite simple.
I would expect to pay around $200 or so for a set. That is for regular drum brakes. Often times the B/J drop spindles are made for the 68 and up bearings. Keep that in mind when you get them on and the drum does not fit well Laughing

Your hardest part of instilation will be breaking the ball joints and tie-rods loose from your old spindles.
