I am interested in dropping my 66' bug a few inches as part of my restoration project. What am I looking at for cost and does anyone have any that they are looking at getting rid of? Also, how difficult are they to install? |

Sorry I do not have drop spindles for sale right now, but I can answer some of your questions.
Your 66 is ball joint, so that is easy. Instillation is quite simple.
I would expect to pay around $200 or so for a set. That is for regular drum brakes. Often times the B/J drop spindles are made for the 68 and up bearings. Keep that in mind when you get them on and the drum does not fit well .
Your hardest part of instilation will be breaking the ball joints and tie-rods loose from your old spindles. |
