I have a 61 ragtop that needs some help.
I need to replace rear quarter and possibly the area around the rear bumper brackets. Troy suggested Wolfsburg West for new metal. Checking that out
Anyone have rear fenders and turn signals that are in good shape.
Turn signal assembly for the steering column, can't get right rear signal to work.
Steering wheel
Ragtop parts
bumpers front and back
Windshield
Most of my handles and window frames have pitting. Don't know if there is hope for them or I will need new.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

Hey Pat...congrats on your 61' rag... unfortunately your year has ALOT of "one year only" stuff....but you probably figured that out already! Check Samba VW classifieds section for the handles and stuff you need. I agree with Troy, Wolfsburg West has pretty good sheet metal. You can get it cheaper elsewhere....but you'll be wishing you spent the extra $$ when you go to fit it in the car. I believe your turnsignal is a one year thing too...sometimes there are various rag parts on Samba too. Good luck!

60 signal switch is the same as 61 other than screw terminal ends instead of push ons (now repoed so easy to find now). _________________ TROY

Scott. I wasn't aware it was special. Almost afraid to ask what else is unique.
Thanks for the tip Troy. |

Gas tank-looks like a 62-67 but without gas gauge sender (should still have reserve tap). _________________ TROY

Also it is the first year of the wiper wash. It has a one year only bottle that is presurized by pumping the push button on the dash! |
